Catch Report May and Comments 2010

Below are the catch reports for year 2010, we will include number of Anglers fishing the lake and were posible the bait they were using to catch.

May 1st:

Biggest 44.5lb and a 39lb Mirror.

9 * 30's , 19 * 20 , 10 * Doubles. In total 38 fish catch.

May 8th:

Catch reports as follows, we had a group total of 59 carp to 1520lb, avg 25lb.
The biggest was 33lb 3oz, with only 3 30's coming out all week. I was lucky to have 2 of them myself, I had a 32lb 15oz on the bank at the same time as the 33lber!!
 
I fished from peg 5 and weighed in at 479lb and was top rod for the week, Colin fished from peg 1 but fished peg 10's margin and weighed in at 478lb. The rest fished open water and struggled making up the rest of the weight. There was 6 of us fishing.
 
We found small pva bags of pellet with a small offering of boilies, hook bait boilie baitboated out to the margin cover of peg 5 & 10 worked the best.

May 15th:

61 fish caught. 6 * 30's , 40 * 20's and 15 doubles. and 1 Grass Carp of 22lb 1oz.

May 22nd:

Fish were spawning this week for 3--4 days

47 fish caught , one person fishing and 2 part time anglings. Bigest fish 45lb.2oz also a 41lb caught , awaiting break down of catch. Swims fished 5, dam and the house swim.

I only fished 2 nights and 5 days and reeled in everyday for breakfast lunch and dinner with the rest of us that were staying in the house so it was far from hardcore carping

The venue record relates to 2010 has in 2009 there were caughts of 86, 63 57 and 40 caughts by a single angler.

May 29th:

Only 7 fish caught this week , biggest 45lb Mirror and a Grass Carp of 25lbs.
